In his 14 year career, Jose Hermida has never won the UCI Elite Men World Championships, but on Saturday September 4th in Monte-Sainte-Anne Quebec, Canada, all that changed, and Jose became the UCI Men's Elite Mountain Bike World Champion.
After completing a race distance of 2 starting laps and 6 full laps, Jose crossed the line in front of Jaroslav Kulhavy and Burry Stander in Silver and Bronze places respectively, triumphantly holding his bike aloft in typical Hermida style as he crossed the line.

Well done to Jose and his sponsor Sumattory, who produce the Hermida Signature Series Gloves that Jose wore to pilot his machine to world championship success. This victory was the culmination of a season's hard training, preparation and racing, and Always Riding would like to give heartfelt congratulations to both Jose and Sumattory.
